Continuing on my hate of hollywood
Now I"m the first to say I"m a gossip-aholic. I love celebrity news and I am a fan. But with the election today, and reading some stuff last night, I felt the need to vent again. People magazine did a thing in one of their recent magazines where it "catches up" with members of Saturday Night Live... the actors who the show has had spoofing the political candidates. Now spoof all you want, bring some humor into the elections. But in it had where Tina Fey, who's been "portraying" Sarah Palin as saying that if Sarah was elected, she'd leaved earth... like get off the planet. And it reminded me of how last election many in Hollywood were saying they'd leave the country if so-n-so (Okay Bush) was elected. And yet, there they stayed making all their money and that. I'm sorry but it is a free country. If you are not happy with who the public chose, then please, leave. Please get your arrogant ass out of the country. For if you feel that the person YOU are backing is the one and only, and could not stand with the other, then please leave. But I am so sorry... no one will EVER be the "perfect" candidate or president. That's just the reality folks. Unless science ( or whoever) can see into the future and predict what is going to happen, NO ONE will EVER be the perfect one. For no one can tell what is going to happen. And no one knows how they'll react in a situation until they are faced with it. In some ways I felt that had Al Gore been in office on Sept 11, the United States would've cringed in the corner crying. But I have no way to prove that. Had he been in office, he might've handled things completely different. But we'll never know. The future, though in some ways does repeat itself, is not set in stone. So to sit there and say that this candidate or that candidate would be the one and only or that I'd leave the country (or planet in Tina Fey's case) if a certain candidate is elected is stupid. There will NEVER be a perfect candidate. And I'm sick of people in Hollywood also acting like who they vote for is the be all end all of candidates. And people can be naive enough to go "Oh Julia Roberts was wearing an Obama shirt, I'll vote for him". That scares me. To think that there are people out there voting not because of what the candidate's views and "plan" is, but because so-n-so said that is who they were voting for. Or because he's black or a Republican or whatever. People don't sit and listen to what is going on. They see a blip of a story that the media (who are insanely biased) runs and go "oh that's how it is". No.. that's not. ANd these debates are jokes now. Most of the time they are spent saying "I'm not going to do what this other candidate is going to do". They rarely are positive. They are mostly nipping and nagging. And yes, they can't give a complete plan cause, like I said before, the future is not set in stone and they won't know how they will handle a situation until it is thrust onto them. I can't remember a time in my 36 years that I've heard of a debate where the candidates were not bashing their opponent or that. So to those people who will do this or that if a certain candidate wins, please for once follow through. You live in America.. a country where the people are the ones who elect their leaders. Be thankful for that. Because you could be living in a country where you have NO say in who your ruler is, what the rules are, and how they are enforced. So if you can't fathom the idea that your candidate didn't have the majority of the votes, then please, leave. Go to another country and let them deal with your selfishness, your ignorance, and your attitude. Or in Tina Fey's case.... go find a planet! And to whoever wins the race (may it be my choice or not), may you have a safe and successful term.

Sick of Hollywood's "expectations"
I just read the most annoying story. Well... not the most annoying but it's becoming a trend. The article was at US Magazines website where they state how two of the male pro dancers on Dancing with the Stars are complaining about how Cheryl Burke and Lacey Schwimmer "gained weight" over the summer. Um.... neither of them are fat. Neither! I'm getting so sick and tired of people going on about weight in Hollywood. Like people saying Eva Longoria Parker is "fat". Oh my ..NO! She went from a size 00 to a size 0. GASP! Oh the horror. And that's FAT? Are you kidding me. Or Selma Blair complaining about the roles on her chin and how her shorts for her tv show Kath & Kim dig into her fat thighs. WHAT? For once she looks healthy. This is why so many young and old people alike feel self-concious about their appearances. I mean, I'm not the skinniest nor fattest person around... and I know I need to lose weight. But it's more for my health and that then what Hollywood says is perfect. But it's taken me YEARS to feel like this. And I still feel self-concious about my appearance compared to others. But there are girls/women out there who see these celebrities and go "oh.. so that's what's "perfect". No wonder why I'm single" or stuff like that. So they starve themselves or binge/purge until it takes over their lives and ruins everything for them. Not everyone has a personal trainer or chef to help keep them at their "ideal" weight. Nor do we have those options when we have a baby and are trying to lose the "baby" weight. You hear these women talking about how they work out for like an hour or more a day for like 5 or 6 days a week. I'm sorry but when my son was born I slept when he slept and I had NO time to really work out. I mean I guess I could have but that would've meant taking time away from him. I guess it's just frustrating, especially when you read articles where men/fellow co-workers are complaining about someone's weight. I think Cheryl & Lacey look amazing.
I do have to say I enjoyed reading an article regarding some of the actresses from the new Beverly Hills 90210 where the guys complained the girls were too skinny! YES! It's about time!
